Analysis of a Level 4 video

In their video the students have done well on the use of editing, from using fades from in and out of scenes, shot reverse shots for example when they are in the scene of the interview and the shots are from one to the other, that allows the viewer to see the tension that is building up in the atmosphere from the accused character. Also their use of camerawork using different kind of shots which would suit that particular scene, for example at the end of the video while the character is running the camera is tracking him as he moves with the other character following the movement showing that the attention in that scene should focus on him. Other things which I thought they did well with is the variety of sound that was throughout, from the voiceover at the start of the video which set the scene of the video and what it was about, the music that was used throughout to set the mood of the video, I thought it was very effective and it suited the story which they were putting across and the sound effects which were used like at the end as the character finishes the call and then they finish it with a climax. Another thing which I thought they used well was the lighting of the video and how it stayed quite low throughout, I thought that was effective because it helped determine the mood of the atmosphere. They also showed a good use credits throughout the video and the way they featured the title into the video while after the character enters the building.
